The First A320 Neo was delivered in January 2016 to Lufthansa. NEO = New Engine Option What does this mean? Airbus is about to pave the way for additional decades of service for some slightly aged aircraft types, which means most of their 2-engine models, the A319, A320, A321 and A330. This aircraft in the X-Plane mobile app is a short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger jet. Download X-Plane 10 Mobile, for free. The number one place for all downloads X-Plane (free account required). Don't know any free Airbus models. All the ones I have in X-Plane 10 have 2D flight decks/poor 3D representation. Best to get payware with regards to Airbus. FlyJSim - Enhanced Runways HD is a good mod: It's all about preferences and exploring for yourself. If you enjoy modding things, consider things like the dataref plugin (which doesn't work in X-Plane 11 atm) and XLua. A Google search will bring up a heap of videos detailing decent plugins which are, in 90% of cases, free to download. As always, the best are payware, but worth every penny (or cent.). Best airbus I know for X-Plane is jardesign's not cheap for sure, but as stated worth the not insignificant money. I have the A330, which I highly recommend, but they also do the more popular with summers A320. Airbus A320 For X Plane 11I don't own it, but it's equally highly reviewed by the seems of it, and flightfactor have the A350. Just FYI, I haven't fully tested it in 11, I just popped it in and it seemed to work, but I've not seen any problems reported yet. At the moment I'm still mostly using 10 still because I already had it how I liked it, and I'm building up 11 bit by bit - just been flying a coastal lap of Australia in the default C172 for now! But yes, as a general rule when it comes to incredibly complex modern airliners, the quality ones are paid, and they generally cost about the same as the base game I'm afraid. Lots of quality less complicated freeware out there, but afraid I gave up looking at freeware modern airliners - half the time even some of the paid stuff is missing key areas (brands not mentioned). There is a free A380 in the most downloaded section that I tried a bit ago. It's good enough to look like you're flying a 380, but there's not much more to it, and really that's hat you expect from free complex planes If you can stand to be just a private jet pilot, this is widely regarded as one of the best freeware aircraft. Which one would you recommend? Sadly I only own the 330. I know the 320 is far more popular and sought after amongst both XP and the FSX/P3D communities. Generally the 330 has never really gotten a lot of love - I think jar did it because they could re-use so many bits of the 320, so it was an inexpensive additional model;) That said I went looking for the 330. I live in Australia and I was looking for something with range in X-Plane. To be honest it was really because I'd done a lot of boeings with PMDG, etc on FSX that I wanted an airbus, and there weren't any A380's, so I looked at the range and thought it was a good balance for what I'd use it for. I probably won't get the 320, but that's just because I'm not made of money and already have an airbus lol - if I get a smaller jet for euro/USA hopping in the future it'll probably be the 737 from IXEG. I think it just depends what you want to use it for? Generally I like to fly little GA aircraft, and the only heavy payware planes I fly are my A330 by JAR and my DC6 by PMDG (I may have watched too much ice pilots). The A330 is pretty much always for crossing the blue stuff, so a 320 would get wet, but if you like to fly in the EU for example I think the 320's probably a more realistic fit?
